Ecertec Ultra
Active Powders sinter at remarkably low temperatures (see below) because the
particles are fine with a d50 of ~ 300nm. The HEBM process is also remarkably
contaminant free meaning that the assay of the product is determined solely
by the assay of the starting oxides.

Such fine primary particles can however cause pressing and die filling problems and so Ecertec processing technologies are used to agglomerate the powder. Our aggloerates are soft (electrostatic) and so dont affect the reactivity - the primary particle size is still as above.
The graph below shows the particle size distribution of a soft agglomerated powder used to fill large (9kg) isostatic moulds and is pressed to a green density of in excess of 60% (with plastic deformaton of the particles).
